Service Description and Availability
HikariNest provides a smart home platform that integrates devices from multiple manufacturers, connects users with certified installation professionals, and offers ongoing monitoring and optimization services.
Our services are currently available in Japan and may be subject to geographic restrictions. Service availability may vary based on location and local regulations.
User Accounts and Registration
To access certain features of our platform, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
Product Orders and Installation Services
When you place an order through our platform, you are making an offer to purchase products or services. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order at our discretion.
Installation services are provided by certified third-party professionals in our network. While we vet our installation partners, the quality of installation work is ultimately the responsibility of the individual installer.
Payment Terms and Pricing
All prices are listed in Japanese Yen and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Payment is due at the time of order placement for products and upon completion for installation services.
We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but price changes will not affect orders already placed and confirmed.
Subscription Services and Billing
Our care plans are subscription services billed on a recurring basis. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the next billing cycle. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
Refunds for subscription services are provided on a prorated basis for unused portions of the current billing period.
Device Compatibility and Performance
While we strive to ensure broad device compatibility, we cannot guarantee that all smart home devices will work perfectly with our platform. Device performance may vary based on network conditions, device age, and manufacturer updates.
We provide best-effort support for device integration but are not responsible for issues arising from third-party device malfunctions or incompatibilities.
User Responsibilities and Prohibited Uses
You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You may not use our platform to transmit harmful code, interfere with other users, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems.
You are responsible for maintaining your home network security and ensuring that connected devices are properly configured and updated.
Intellectual Property Rights
The HikariNest platform, including its software, content, and trademarks, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our platform without explicit permission.
You retain ownership of any data you provide to our platform, while granting us necessary rights to provide our services.
Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.
By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
Service Modifications and Termination

Third-party devices and services integrated with our platform are subject to their own warranty terms and conditions.
Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Tokyo, Japan, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
You agree to attempt to resolve any disputes through good faith negotiations before pursuing formal legal action.
